Products Description of Dichloromethane CAS#75-09-2
Dichloromethane is a compound in which two hydrogen atoms in the methane molecule are replaced by chlorine. The molecular formula is CH2Cl2. It is a colorless, transparent, heavier than water, volatile liquid with an ether-like smell and sweet taste. It does not burn, but forms an explosive mixture when mixed with high-concentration oxygen.

Product Application of Dichloromethane CAS#75-09-2
It is a non-flammable low boiling point solvent and is used as a solvent in cellulose acetate film-forming, aerosol and antibiotic and vitamin production. It is also used as an extraction agent, metal cleaning agent, etc.
Methylene chloride is a raw material for the production of the fungicides myclobutanil and imidaclozolin, and is also a good solvent.
In addition to being used in organic synthesis, this product is also widely used in cellulose acetate film formation, cellulose triacetate spinning, petroleum dewaxing, aerosols and solvents in the production of antibiotics, vitamins, and steroids, as well as metal surface paint layers. Clean Chemicalbook washing degreasing and film-removing agent.
In addition, it is also used for grain fumigation and refrigeration in low-pressure freezers and air-conditioning units. It is used as an auxiliary blowing agent in the production of polyether urethane foam and as a blowing agent for extruded polysulfone foam.
