Nicarbazin is a complex of dinitrocarbamide and hydroxydimethylpyrimidine. It is a yellow or yellow-green powder; odorless, with a slight odor. This product is slightly soluble in dimethylformamide, insoluble in water, ethanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform, and ether. It is used to prevent coccidiosis in chickens and turkeys.
