Products Description of Mix Xylene CAS#1330-20-7
Xylene (dimethylbenzene) is a colorless, transparent, aromatic liquid. It is the product of two hydrogen atoms on the benzene ring being replaced by methyl atoms. It has a boiling point of 137-140°C. Xylene is divided into three isomers: o-xylene, m-xylene, and p-xylene according to the positions of the two methyl atoms. In industry, xylene refers to a mixture of the above isomers and ethylbenzene. The grades are generally superior and first-class products at 3°C and 5°C distillation ranges of purified water.
It can be mixed with ethanol, chloroform or ether at will and is insoluble in water. It is widely used in organic solvents and synthetic medicines, coatings, resins, dyes, explosives, and pesticides. Xylene is moderately toxic and also has a certain degree of carcinogenicity. Xylene pollution mainly comes from synthetic fibers, plastics, fuels, rubbers, additives to various coatings, various adhesives, and waterproof materials, and can also come from the combustion gas of fuels and tobacco leaves.

Product Application of Mix Xylene CAS#1330-20-7
Solvent, determination of water content in many organic compounds, microscope cleaner. Cleaning agent for silicon components and thermistors. Mixed xylene is a mixture of o-, m-, and p-xylene and ethylbenzene. When used as a chemical raw material, the isomers can be separated in advance. The mixture is mainly used as a solvent for paints and coatings and an additive for aviation gasoline.
