Glycidyl alcohol is also called glycidol. This substance is used as a stabilizer for natural oils and vinyl polymers, demulsifiers, dyeing and layering agents, and is used in surface coatings, chemical synthesis, fungicides, etc. After some oils are refined at high temperatures, they are hydrolyzed in the human gastrointestinal tract and eventually form glycidol.
