Product Application of Hexachloroethane CAS#67-72-1
This product is used as a solvent and in the production of Freon-113, pesticides, medicines, veterinary drugs, smoke generators, defoamers, degassing agents for aluminum products, deoxidizers (aluminum, magnesium, copper and their alloys), cutting oil additives, polyvinyl chloride co-plasticizers, and organic synthesis intermediates. Hexachloroethane can be used as a smoke generator when mixed with zinc powder, ammonium chloride, ammonium perchlorate, etc. in proportion. Hexachloroethane is also used as a camphor substitute and rubber vulcanization accelerator. Hexachloroethane itself is also a veterinary anthelmintic. It is mainly used for ruminant liver leech disease and stomach leech disease, other testicular fluke diseases and nematode diseases, etc.
