Hydrated rhodium trichloride can be used to prepare rhodium homogeneous organic complex catalysts. Such catalysts have the advantages of high catalytic activity and good selectivity. They have important applications in catalytic hydrogenation, olefin hydroformylation, and carbonyl synthesis catalysis, and many have been used in industrial production.
For example: tri(triphenylphosphine) rhodium chloride is used in industry as an efficient olefin hydrogenation catalyst, acetylacetonate dicarbonyl rhodium, triphenylphosphine acetylacetonate carbonyl rhodium, tri(triphenylphosphine) carbonyl hydrogen rhodium, tri[tri(m-sulfonate phenyl)phosphine] carbonyl hydrogen rhodium, etc. are used as efficient olefin hydroformylation catalysts in olefin hydroformylation industrial devices. Since hydrated rhodium trichloride has the advantages of good solubility and high reaction activity, the above-mentioned rhodium homogeneous organic complex catalysts are usually prepared from hydrated rhodium trichloride as a raw material.
