Products Description of Pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid CAS#499-83-2
Pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid is an important pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate with a wide range of uses. Pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid exists naturally in bacterial spores, but the content is low, which cannot meet the demand, and it is not easy to extract. It is not conducive to industrial production and application. The earliest artificial synthesis literature report was in 1935, when ALVIN.W.Singer and S.M.MCELVAIN of the University of Wisconsin used potassium permanganate in water as a solvent to oxidize 2,6-lutidine with a yield of 64%. In industry, it is generally prepared by oxidizing 2,6-lutidine.

Product Application of Pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid CAS#499-83-2
Pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid is released from autoclaved Thermobacterium stearophilum spores; it induces aggregation of chitosan-stabilized gold nanoparticles, causing the solution color to change from red to blue.
