Ethylene glycol dimethacrylate is mainly used in the plastic and rubber industries as a crosslinking agent for ethylene-acrylic acid copolymers, ABS, acrylic sheets and pipes, glass fiber reinforced polyester, PVC, ion exchange resins, smokeless powder coating polymerization, glazing, etc. The polymers copolymerized with it have increased hardness, heat resistance, weather resistance, solvent resistance and friction resistance. It is also used in artificial marble, dental materials, emulsion copolymers, papermaking, rubber peroxide hardening modifiers, adhesives, inks, and crosslinking agents for optical polymers.
