Thickener; stabilizer; emulsifier. According to my country's GB2760-86 regulations, it can be used as a thickener in beverages, chocolate, ice cream and jam, with a maximum dosage of 0.5-5.0g/kg. According to FAO/WHO (1984), the use and limit are: 10g/kg for canned green beans and yellow beans, sweet corn, mushrooms, asparagus, green peas, etc. (used alone or in combination with other thickeners, the product contains butter or other oils); 8g/kg for processed cheese manufacturing (used alone or in combination with other thickeners); 500g/kg for pickles (used alone or in combination with other cosolvents and dispersants); 10g/kg for canned carrots (used alone or in combination with other thickeners); 5g/kg for cream (used alone or in combination with other thickeners and modifiers, only used for pasteurized whipped cream or ultra-high temperature sterilized cream and sterilized cream for whipping); 10g/kg for cold drinks (based on the final product, used alone or in combination with other emulsifiers, stabilizers and thickeners).
