Products Description of Methoxypolyethylene glycols CAS#9004-74-4
Polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether is a derivative of polyethylene glycol. It is soluble in water, ethanol and most highly polar organic solvents. It is less volatile than glycerol, has stable chemical properties, is not easily hydrolyzed and destroyed, and has strong hydrophilicity. It has low vapor pressure and is stable to heat. It is used as a thickener and lubricant in the textile printing and dyeing industry and the daily chemical industry. In the building materials industry, it is used as a raw material for cement water reducers and enhancers. The polycarboxylic acid high-efficiency water reducer synthesized using this raw material has a strong ability to retain the dispersibility of cement particles, making the product have the advantages of low dosage, high water reduction rate, good reinforcement effect, durability, no corrosion of steel bars and environmental friendliness. It can be used in high-performance, high-strength (C60 or above) commercial concrete for on-site mixing and long-distance transportation.

Product Application of Methoxypolyethylene glycols CAS#9004-74-4
Polyethylene glycol is a polymer of ethylene oxide hydrolysis products. It is non-toxic and non-irritating and is widely used in various pharmaceutical preparations. Low molecular weight polyethylene glycol is relatively toxic. Overall, the toxicity of glycols is quite low. Topical application of polyethylene glycol, especially mucosal administration, can cause irritation and pain. In topical lotions, this product can increase the flexibility of the skin and has a moisturizing effect similar to glycerol. Large doses of oral polyethylene glycol can cause diarrhea. In injections, the maximum concentration of polyethylene glycol 300 is about 30% (V/V), and hemolysis may occur when the concentration is greater than 40% (V/V).
