Products Description of Butyl acetate CAS#123-86-4
Butyl acetate is a carboxylic acid ester synthetic fragrance, also known as butyl acetate. It is a colorless transparent liquid with a strong fruity aroma. It can be mixed with ethanol and ether at will, can be dissolved in most organic solvents, and is slightly soluble in water. The solubility in water is 0.05g. Its vapor has a weak anesthetic effect, and the allowable concentration in the air is 0.2g/l. This product has a strong fruity aroma. After dilution, it has a pleasant pineapple and banana-like aroma, and the persistence is very poor. It exists naturally in many vegetables, fruits and berries. Butyl acetate is rarely used in daily chemical flavors, and is mainly used in edible flavor formulas. Butyl acetate has four isomers. That is, n-butyl acetate, isobutyl acetate, sec-butyl acetate, and tert-butyl acetate. They all exist in nature. The more important ones among them are n-butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate. n-Butyl acetate is a colorless transparent liquid. It has a fruity aroma. It tastes spicy first and then sweet. It is volatile. It is flammable. It occurs naturally in apples, bananas, cherries, grapes, peaches, plums, pears, tomatoes and cocoa beans.
