Products Description of Sodium hydrosulfideCAS#16721-80-5
Sodium hydrosulfide is used in the dye industry to synthesize organic intermediates and as an auxiliary agent for preparing sulfur dyes, in the leather industry to dehair and tan leather, in the fertilizer industry to remove monomer sulfur in activated carbon desulfurizers, in the mining industry to be used in large quantities for copper ore dressing, in the production of artificial fibers for sulfite dyeing, etc. It is a raw material for manufacturing semi-finished products of ammonium sulfide and pesticide ethyl mercaptan, and is also used for wastewater treatment, etc. The production process of sodium hydrosulfide is relatively mature, but with the development of various economic forms and increasingly fierce competition, it is required to reduce input as much as possible to produce high-quality and more products. At present, the preparation method of sodium hydrosulfide is the caustic soda absorption method, which requires the raw material gas to be relatively pure hydrogen sulfide gas, and mainly utilizes the tail gas of producing barium chloride or barium nitrate to react with sodium hydroxide solution to produce sodium hydrosulfide. The caustic soda method for producing sodium hydrosulfide requires that the raw gas does not contain carbon dioxide. If the raw gas contains carbon dioxide, sodium carbonate will be generated during the production process: NaOH+CO2→Na2CO3+H2O. The generation of sodium carbonate not only reduces the yield of caustic soda, but also affects the quality of sodium hydrosulfide and the use of users. If the carbon dioxide content is greater than 10%, it will also block equipment and pipelines during production, making it impossible to carry out normal production.
