Products Description of Manganese sulfate CAS#7785-87-7
Manganese sulfate (English: Manganese sulfate) is a light pink monoclinic fine crystal at room temperature. It is easily soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol. It starts to lose crystal water when heated above 200℃, loses most of the crystal water at about 280℃, becomes anhydrous salt melt at 700℃, and begins to decompose at 850℃, releasing sulfur trioxide, sulfur dioxide or oxygen.
Manganese is an element of Group VII of the periodic table. Manganese in a free state is not found in nature. It generally exists in animals and plants in the form of compounds. Since Orent and Kemmer and others discovered that manganese is a necessary trace element for animals in 1940, a large number of studies have shown that manganese has an important nutritional role in animal bodies. It is an important component of arginine kinase, proline peptidase, and pyruvate carboxylase. Manganese ions also have the function of activating a variety of enzymes and are an activator of some hydrolases, dephosphorylases, phosphorylases, and ribozymes. Manganese has the functions of promoting growth, enhancing immunity, and improving animal reproductive performance. Manganese sulfate is one of the important trace element fertilizers. It can be used as base fertilizer, seed soaking, seed mixing, topdressing and foliar spraying to promote crop growth and increase yield. In animal husbandry and feed industry, it is used as a feed additive to make livestock and poultry grow well and have a fattening effect. It is also used as a drier for processing paints and inks; a raw material for manganese sulfate solution; a catalyst for synthesizing fatty acids; in addition, it can also be used in papermaking, ceramics, printing and dyeing, ore flotation; a raw material for the production of electrolytic manganese and a raw material for manufacturing other manganese salts.
