Products Description of Ammonium phosphate dibasic CAS#7783-28-0
Diammonium phosphate, also known as diammonium hydrogen phosphate (DAP), is a compound fertilizer containing two nutrients, nitrogen and phosphorus. Diammonium hydrogen phosphate is a high-concentration quick-acting fertilizer that is easily soluble in water and has less solids after dissolution. It is suitable for various crops and soils, especially for crops that prefer nitrogen and require phosphorus. It can be used as base fertilizer or topdressing, and deep application is recommended. Diammonium phosphate refers to a standard product containing 18% N and 48% P2O5. Its crystal shape is flat-oblique prisms, and its solubility in water at 25°C is 71%. The pH of its saturated solution reaches 8, which is much higher than that of monoammonium phosphate. Since the saturated solution of diammonium phosphate is alkaline, applying it to acidic soil can reduce the fixation of phosphorus by iron and aluminum, so that phosphorus maintains a high effectiveness, so it is recommended that diammonium phosphate be used on acidic soil.
