Products Description of METHYLENE BLUE CAS#61-73-4
Methylene blue (MB) is a reducing agent that is easily soluble in water and easily crosses cell membranes. It has relatively no toxic side effects and is an approved clinical drug. Since its introduction to the biological community in the 19th century, methylene blue has been widely used: as a dye in neurochemicalbook anatomy and bacteriology; in biochemical research, methylene blue serves as an indicator of redox effects. As an antidote, methylene blue is used to treat methemoglobinemia caused by nitrite and other poisonings; at the same time, methylene blue is also used to treat cyanide poisoning and ifosfamide-induced encephalopathy.

Product Application of METHYLENE BLUE CAS#61-73-4
A non-toxic dye, the oxidized form is blue and the reduced form is colorless. When staining yeast living cells, due to cell metabolism, the cells have strong reducing ability, which can change methylene blue from the blue oxidized form to Colorless chemical book type of reduction, which has weak metabolic effect or dead cells, has no or extremely weak reducing ability, and is dyed blue or light blue by methylene blue. Not only can this method be used to observe the morphology of yeast cells, but it can also be used to observe the morphology of yeast cells. To identify dead and live cells of yeast.
It can be used for dyeing linen, silk fabrics, paper, and coloring bamboo and wood. It can also be used in the manufacture of inks and lakes, as well as in the dyeing of biological and bacterial tissues. It can be mixed with basic purple 5BN and yellow dextrin in a ratio of 78:13:9 to form basic royal blue.
